Starting the blog October 27, 2006

Okay, so here goes, starting a new site. I’m going to take this one in stages, starting with a premade template and just getting some content on the site. When I am happy with how the site is going content-wise, I’ll change the look to be more unique.
So what is the site going to be about? Well, a hodgepodge of stuff, duh.
I do a whole lot of different crafts and I love looking up patterns for stuff on the web. A lot of time, though, I find that while someone is happy to show off pics of their own stuff, they won’t necessarily offer patterns or instructions. Well, that will not be the case here. Everything I show a picture of, I will either give you instructions on how to do it, post a link to the pattern/instructions I used, post the recipe, or actually create a downloadable pdf pattern. I may not make the instructions for things so that you can duplicate what I did everytime, but I will give you enough information to get the gist of what I did.
I do have plans to add some patterns/ books of patterns for sale eventually (I would like to make money and help support my family), but I promise that most of the information on this site will be free. FREE, I said.
Legal stuff: If I take credit for something, then it came out of my own little head, possibly inspired by something I saw, read, whatever, but it was my idea from start to finish. If I found the pattern or directions or recipe on another site, I will link to it, and possibly reprint here if I think it will be okay with the information’s owner. If the information was gained from a hardcopy book, I will link to someplace where you can buy it, or at least get enough information to buy it from your favorite book source, or borrow it from a library. I will NOT repost the pattern, or directions in that case, as it is copyrighted, but I will tell you where in the book I found what was used. I will try to give credit where credit is due at all times. If I do not give credit, and I do not take credit, then it means I know I didn’t come up with the idea but I don’t know exactly where I got it from.
